Mini Expedition Wyoming - 7th to 8th Grade - 3-Day Expedition Camp

New for 2026! Small and mighty, the 3-Day Mini Expedition is designed for campers of all experience and ability levels. Campers explore stunning natural landscapes by day and sleep under the stars by night, building skills, confidence, friendships, and connection along the way.

Together the group (max of 13 campers with two highly trained instructors) get right to it upon arrival. The group starts by setting up a shared campsite guaranteed to forge bonds and giggles. Once their home base is ready, the campers dive right in – with new adventures each day. Sport adventures include climbing real rock, learning to balance on rascally paddle boards, and practicing essential outdoor living skills—all while working together as a supportive expedition team.

For some campers, the highlight of Mini Expo Camp is learning to cook meals under the open sky and open flame of camp stoves. In just a few days, campers gain real outdoor know-how and the confidence to take on even bigger adventures in the future.

Mini Expos may be short in duration, however, these 3-day camps pack a powerful adventure—one that sparks confidence, builds community, and creates memories that last far beyond the trip.

Campers will build core strength and good balance atop paddleboards as they play fun games, work on team building, learn proper paddle strokes, practice rescue techniques and maneuver their boards through area lakes.

Campers of all levels will take to area crags to learn the in’s and outs of skillful scaling, including climbing techniques, equipment use and safety precautions.

Campers will learn to maintain a campsite, setting up and breaking down their equipment, keeping their space tidy and cooking their own meals in the backcountry that fosters independence and valuable skills they will use throughout their lives. They’ll play games during downtime and swap stories around the campfire, building deep, lasting friendships with their fellow expedition-mates.

Throughout the week, campers will practice important interpersonal skills like communication, problem solving and teamwork. Through games during downtime, stories around the campfire and time alone reflecting, they’ll build confidence and comfort within the group and as an individual.

WE TAKE SAFETY SERIOUSLY

While no outdoor adventure is totally risk-free, we work hard to keep your kids safe. Every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved -- what they are, how to prevent them, how to respond if something goes wrong -- so kids learn how to approach challenges with intelligence and skill.

OUR APPROACH TO SAFETY
