New for 2026! Get outside and make memories—and let Avid’s instructors handle all the logistics. From setting up camp to cooking and cleaning, Avid4 Adventure Family Trips makes family camping more fun and convenient.
Kids ages 5+ benefit from guided outdoor adventures each day from 9 am to 3 pm. This means the adults have the flexibility to relax at camp, explore nearby trails, or enjoy some well-earned downtime. Each afternoon, families reunite to share stories, explore together, and soak in the best parts of camp life—campfires, stargazing, eating together outside, and quality time away from screens.
Over the course of a long weekend, Family Trips provide independence and togetherness: space for kids to grow and try new things, and plenty of shared moments as a family.
The beating heart of Colorado ski season, Summit County also holds many opportunities for the summer adventurer. While campers head out for guided adventures in the valley, adults can hang out at the campground, take on a local 14er, or explore one of the historic main streets nearby. Lakes, mountain ranges, and fresh mountain air create the perfect environment to connect as a family and ignite the adventurous spirit.
Please Note: Children ages 5 and up are invited to join in on group adventures on Friday and Saturday. Kiddos under 5 may absolutely attend our family trips; they’ll just stick with mom and dad throughout the trip. Children under 5 require a $50 registration fee.
