In an empowering and inclusive environment welcoming all experience levels, our weeklong multi-sport expedition camp lets LGBTQ+ identifying campers explore local landscapes, taking on a range of adventure sports by day and camping under the stars by night.
This camp focuses on providing a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ identifying campers to build self confidence while participating in adventure activities with a like minded community. From learning technical skills during the day to thoughtful reflective campfire chats in the evening, campers will have opportunities to develop transferable life lessons in a fun, emotionally safe, and supportive community.
After setting up a campsite that will serve as their home base for the week, the group (no more than 13 to a group with 2 staff members) discover what the “multi” in our multi-sport program really means. Namely, embarking on a different adventure every day—biking the park’s extensive trails one day, plus stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, and white water rafting—all the while building technical skills and fostering a deeper appreciation for the outdoors.
From cooking their own meals on camp stoves to sleeping in tents, expedition campers learn to meet countless challenges with intelligence and consideration. It’s a confidence-building, life-changing experience that gives LGBTQ+ campers the skills and independence they need for a lifetime of adventure.
