How To: Teach Kids to Ride A Bike – an Introduction

Learn the basics about teaching kids to ride a bike!

In this introductory video, you will learn the basics about teaching kids to learn how to ride a bike – from pushing, to basic pedaling and steering. We try to make the steps as easy as possible since teaching kids to learn to bike is so important but can be a challenge as well.

Avid4 Adventure’s Learn to Bike! programs are perfect camps for kids to learn how to bike. Our Learn to Bike! programs start at age 3 1/2 for kiddos to learn the joys of self-sufficient cycling.

Nurtured by skilled, patient instructors in a supportive on-site environment, our pint-sized pedalers enjoy camper-to-staff ratios of 4:1 for lots of individual attention and personalized coaching.

We group kids by ability and meet them exactly where they are, working through a thoughtful progression from scooting to coasting to pedaling as they get comfortable on two wheels. We also make time for games, art and yoga, offering campers opportunities for fun and confidence building both off and on their bikes.
