“The company culture of Avid is second to none the best place to work. Everyone at camp all have the same goal and interests in giving the best summer ever to each camper.”

“As teachers in the outdoors, we have a unique opportunity to provide life-changing experiences for kids. It feels great to work with other people who not only pursue their own personal adventures, but also see the importance of sharing their knowledge and facilitating these experiences for the next generation.”
“I never felt as Avid4 was a ‘job’, it was a place that I went to continue my passion of working with kids in an outdoor environment while not only teaching them new and exciting things but for having them continue to push me and open my eyes to experiences I would never have without this ‘job’. You also meet the most down to earth people that share the same overall goal, getting kids outside and learning. “
“Avid promotes independence, continued learning, empowering others and nurtures a love for outdoor education and adventure. Avid’s staff create a safe environment for children and holds their crew accountable in regard to furthering children and staff’s skill sets in outdoor sports. It’s a great environment to work and a fantastic place for children of all ages!”
“For me it was hearing about the culture from former and current employees that drew me to the culture of being active, being outside, having fun, working with young people and then on day one of the orientation it was true and it was true everyday I came to work. That passion and enthusiasm is hard to fi nd in office settings or at retail jobs. Everyone at avid genuinely enjoyed their job each day.”
“Personally I love being outside, and I love working with kids because I am a big kid myself. Any job that gives me the opportunity to do both is a job for me. I like working with like minded people and learning new skills. I like how Avid makes you feel like they trust you and boost your confidence.”
“Avid4Adventure strives to teach kids how to live an outdoor lifestyle by exploring and discovering new skills that they have never learned before or expanding on skills that they have already learned. I absolutely stand behind the core values. Avid has overall been the most rewarding job I have ever had and the outgoing, adventurous culture has me coming back next year!”
“The culture at Avid4 is one of openness and understanding. It’s about letting the little stuff go and instead cooperating to provide a service that all it’s staff members share the value of – namely getting kids in the outdoors. Just the fact that we are asked about the culture is groovy!
“I love the core values that avid has and felt them on the job site every day. They aren’t just a company that takes kids out and expects the instructors to do all of the work for the kids. We aren’t just leading and we aren’t just teaching, but we show kids what makes the outdoors fun while teaching them how to be good stewards and take care of the earth.”
“One of the aspects of the Avid company culture that draws me to Avid is the genuine concern for the staff. If there was ever a problem or concern, I never hesitated to ask or approach one of the camp directors or regional managers. With some of the jobs I’ve had in the past, I didn’t feel as comfortable asking for help
or looking to a higher authority to solve a problem so I would just take initiative and do it myself. However; at Avid I believe that all of the beautiful people in the leadership roles want us to ask for help and want us
to feel comfortable and content with every aspect of our job!! Everyone always went out of their way to make sure we weren’t confused and gave us all the right tools to be successful! I truly appreciate that and I can’t wait to come back to Avid next year”
“When working at Avid4 I met some of the most genuine and down to earth people who really do care about kids and love the outdoors. Whether it was during a staff meeting or SUPing on the Lagoon, I feel like I was always laughing, learning and being appreciated for my work and contributions to the camp. Everyone wants to be learning and teaching at the same time and it’s simply amazing. This was the best summer of my life and I thank Avid4 for it!”
“The Avid 4 Adventure culture speaks levels to me because it introduces a revolutionary way of business thinking. It seems like behind every interaction is a genuine intention of love. Loving nature, loving each other, loving our actions, and loving the life we live! This unique way of doing business is so uprising and revolutionary because it doesn’t incorporate just one P-Profit, like most business these days. It largely encompasses the 2 other P’s, which in my opinion are far superior, People and Place!”
“Avid4 finds and develops a diverse group of adventurers and enthusiasts into a proper excursion crew. Everyone feels comfortable working together, talking out problems and solutions, and asking to
tag along on an after-hours adventure. I was infected with a warm affection for my coworkers as fast friends and that brought me up every time I began or ended a workday. We inspired each other to get out
there, try climbing even if you say you’re scared of heights, come up with new ways to show patience, and come up with our own adventure itineraries every day.
