Pin Program FAQs

Below are the answers to some of the most common questions we receive about the Avid4 Adventure pin program. If the answer to your question isn’t here, we’d love to hear from you! Please call our Customer Experience Team at 1-800-877-9873 or email us at [email protected].

Do all kids receive pins?

Yes! All kids who attend our Colorado Mountain Camp will receive at least the Colorado Mountain Camp participation pin, in addition to a lanyard and carabiner for displaying the pins.

Do kids who already attended Avid4 Adventure camps in previous years receive pins this year?
Unfortunately, pins will not be retroactively awarded for programs prior to 2016.  However, kids have the opportunity to demonstrate all the skills they have learned at camp and earn pins for those skills. For example, if you are attending Avid4 Adventure’s Rock Climbing day camp, and you can demonstrate Level 2 skills, you will receive our Rock Climbing participation pin and our Level 2 skill achievement pin.

I received the mountain biking pin at a CMC camp. Can I get it again at a different CMC camp?

Once you earn a pin at one camp, you would not receive the same pin at another camp.

If I received a Level 2 pin for biking, do I receive the same Level 2 pin for kayaking if I have also demonstrated those skills?

Yes! You will receive another Level 2 pin that you can attach to the lanyard right below your kayaking pin.

I can do all of the things in Level 4. Will I get a chance to show you all of those skills in my first week of my single-sport camp? Can I get all 4 of the pins that week?

Level pins must be earned in order starting at 2, then 3, then 4.  However, if you are a master and can demonstrate all skills for each level over the course of a single week, then you can certainly earn them all!

I lost my passport from the first session I came to a month ago, and now I’m coming to camp again. I don’t remember how many skills I was checked off on for each level. I know I got the biking pin but I also had some checks for Level 2. What do I do?

Find a safe place for your passport!  Also, if you achieved some Level 2 skills, you will have the opportunity to share that information with your instructor and demonstrate the skills you learned the previous month.

I lost my lanyard and carabiner that I received my first session. What do I do?

We have additional lanyards and carabiners for purchase in our online store.
