Expedition Multi-Sport Wyoming - 9th to 11th - Expedition

Our weeklong multi-sport expedition camp introduces high schoolers of all experience levels to the diverse and dramatic landscape of Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming, where they’ll take on new adventures every day and camp under the stars each night. Stand Up Paddleboarding

During their day of white water rafting, campers will practice paddling through rapids, staying safe on the water and working together with their fellow rafters to navigate their vessel.

Campers will discover the rich, varied landscape of Curt Gowdy State Park along its lovely hiking trails, learning about flora, fauna and the principles of Leave No Trace as they explore and gain respect for the natural world.

First-timers and experienced cyclists alike will get comfortable with mountain biking technique, safety and equipment on Curt Gowdy’s 50+ miles of dedicated bike trails. Campers may be divided into smaller groups based on ability.

Campers of all levels will take to the park’s granite crags to learn the ins and outs of skillful scaling, including climbing techniques, equipment use and safety precautions.

The still waters of the park’s reservoirs offer the perfect spot for stand up paddleboarding. Campers will build core strength and balance by playing games, honing paddling techniques and practicing rescues.

Campers will set up, maintain and break down their own campsite, sleeping in tents, cooking meals outdoors and keeping a tidy home away from home. In an expedition group they’ll play games, relax during downtime and talk around the campfire, forging lasting friendships and having unforgettable fun.

While no outdoor adventure is totally risk-free, we work hard to keep your kids safe. Every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved -- what they are, how to prevent them, how to respond if something goes wrong -- so kids learn how to approach challenges with intelligence and skill.
