Adventure Camp Mill Valley - 2nd to 7th - Camp On The Go

Our Adventure Day Camp for 2nd – 7th graders meets at local recreation sites for thrilling and fulfilling authentic outdoor experiences. Whether campers are new to adventure sports or already experienced athletes, every day brings a different challenge—mastering finding their balance on a stand-up paddleboard, kayaking, or hiking a trail — and every activity is tailored to their ability level.

Beyond developing their individual abilities, campers focus on teamwork, working as a group to navigate their surroundings, paddling in pairs on stand-up paddleboards or helping each other transport and set up gear. As their technical know-how grows, so does their ability to communicate and thrive in team environments.

Camp On The Go is similar to our traditional Day Camps. The big difference is, instead of meeting us at a local school, you’ll meet us directly at a local recreation area for a day of outdoor sports and activities.

*This session is two weeks long.

Why Sign Up For Multiple Weeks?

Do you remember that old TV show Blues Clues? It was the most successful kids’ show of all time. Do you remember that book that your child insisted on reading over and over again? How could you forget it? Why was Blues Clues so successful and why did your child NEED to re-read that book? Because repetition promotes learning, growth, and empowerment.

Based on our experience (and a bunch of brain science), we know that multiple weeks of Avid camp will benefit your child – it will result in greater skill development, increased self-confidence, higher levels of risk assessment/environmental awareness, and an improved ability to connect socially with others.

WE TAKE SAFETY SERIOUSLY

While no outdoor adventure is totally risk-free, we work hard to keep your kids safe. Every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved -- what they are, how to prevent them, how to respond if something goes wrong -- so kids learn how to approach challenges with intelligence and skill.
