Learn to Paddle

From beginners to weekend warriors, this camp is sure to challenge your climber in all the right ways. Campers will meet their instructor at local crags to learn the ins and outs of skillful scaling, including climbing techniques, equipment use and safety precautions.

This camp is offered for 2nd-4th and 4th-7th grades. Avid4 Adventure will provide any gear required.

Campers will spend the week building confidence outdoors and furthering their skills in mountain biking. We’ll get kids familiar with biking technique, safety and equipment out on local trails.

Please note: campers must be confident with riding a bike on two wheels on a dirt trail. Kids are also required to bring their own bikes (please ensure tuned & ready) and helmets. This camp is offered for 2nd-4th and 4th-7th grades.

Out on the water for the week, kids will build skills in two paddlesports—kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. Campers will perfect their paddle strokes, learn rescue techniques and of course, splash around playing fun games in the summer sun.

This camp is offered for 2nd-4th and 4th-7th graders.

Pre K (age 4+) through 1st grade campers will learn the joys of self-sufficient cycling! Learn to Bike is intended for campers who are first-time riders, kids using training wheels or balance bikes (not those who are already comfortable on two wheels).

Learn to Bike is a half day program- either 9am-11:45am or 12:15-3:00pm. Campers will need to bring their own bike and helmet.

Our pint sized paddle program for kindergarteners (age 5+) and 1st graders will introduce campers to fun on the water. Campers will work on both kayaking and stand up paddleboarding for the week. They’ll get familiar with their equipment, practice paddling techniques and gain confidence stroke by stroke.

Learn to Paddle is a half day program—either 9am-11:45am or 12:15-3:00pm.

Please note that campers will be sharing kayaks & SUP’s in our Learn to Paddle program.

WE TAKE SAFETY SERIOUSLY

While no outdoor adventure is totally risk-free, we work hard to keep your kids safe. Every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved -- what they are, how to prevent them, how to respond if something goes wrong -- so kids learn how to approach challenges with intelligence and skill.

OUR APPROACH TO SAFETY
