At Colorado Mountain Camp resident camps, 1st – 12th graders experience an immersive mix of thrilling outdoor adventure sports and traditional sleep-away camp fun. Campers are grouped by grade across our two scenic Colorado locations — Mt. Evans (1st – 6th grade campers and 11th – 12th grade Staff-in-Training) and Windy Peak (7th – 10th graders)—in sessions that vary from four-days to two-week sessions.
Unlike expedition programs, which take place largely off site, our resident camps use their locations as a true home base for campers. Our Mt. Evans and Windy Peak facilities each include a dining hall, clinic, trading post and cabins for campers to sleep in, plus trails, ponds and low ropes courses for on-site adventures. Campers also have regular outings to nearby recreation areas and spend between one and five days (depending on their grade) on an overnight expedition in the wilderness.
