Avid4 Adventure Scholarship Information
Overview
Now, thanks to some generous donations, Avid4 Adventure is excited to announce camp scholarships to worthy applicants. Scholarships will range from 25% to 100% of camp tuition for day camps, resident camps and travel camping trips. Day camp scholarships can include before and after camp child care, lunch (for Boulder programs only), T-shirt, and registration. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following: diversity, economic need, and camper interest and motivation. The scholarship committee will meet the first week of March, April and May to make awards until all funds are distributed.

Summer Day Camp Scholarship Guidelines
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the following:
- Diversity- These scholarships are intended to broaden the diversity of life experiences, cultures and traditions carried by campers participating in Avid4 Adventure.
- Economic Need- As demonstrated by family size; income; extenuating circumstances
- Motivation- Camper interest and motivation as demonstrated through written comments or picture
- Funding- Availability of scholarship funds
Scholarship amounts will be determined by financial need
- Full scholarships are available that will cover all costs of camp including registration, camp tuition, and day camp extended care if needed.
- Partial scholarships covering 25% or 50% of camp tuition are available. With these scholarships payment of the remaining camp tuition plus a registration fee of $25 is required.
Scholarship award determination will be made by a committee consisting of one field instructor, one administrator, and one board member of Avid4 Adventure. Decisions of this committee are final.
Application & Award Process
- Email (info@avid4.com), send (PO Box 287, Boulder, CO 80306), or fax (303-265-9445) completed scholarship application packet. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- The scholarship committee will meet the first week of March, April and May to make awards until all funds are distributed. Your application will be considered the first meeting after your application is submitted. Applicants in each cycle will be notified by the end of the second week of the month.
