
Rock Climbing in Boulder and Golden
Fun & safety focused rock climbing program offers the opportunity for kids to progressively climb and experience a diversity of routes and rock types over the course of a week. Develop skills and experience through increasingly challenging techniques, exercises, and routes all while working on teambuilding and individual leadership with friends and peers of the same age. Participants should have prior experience with basic rock climbing with ropes and harnesses.

- Climb in world renowned areas such as Boulder Canyon and the Flatirons.
- Attempt beginner bouldering techniques over the safety of our Black Diamond crash pads
- Learn about climbing safety, traditional gear placement, natural anchors, climbing ethics, crack and face climbing techniques, knots, and hazard identification and evaluation.

The Climbing Intensive will provide a special opportunity for your son or daughter to climb some of the renowned formations and routes that have made Boulder and Golden famous. Learn the skills of a rock climber, such as proper equipment use and care, basic knots, belaying, rappelling, and basic to advanced climbing movements and techniques. Led by a certified top rope instructor, the participants will experience a variety of Front Range locations from the perfect granite walls of Boulder Canyon, to the unique qualities of the Flatirons formation, and the marbled rock and countless routes of Clear Creek Canyon. Avid4 will provide all specialized equipment except for climbing shoes (can be rented from REI). As with all Avid4 Adventure programs, participants will also enjoy fun games, unique teambuilding and individual challenges within a safety-oriented, supportive and empowering social setting.
