NO MORE THAN 6 KIDS PER GROUP, EXTENDED DAYS, & INCREDIBLE INSTRUCTION!
Have your kids already done the Avid4 Adventure Rock Climbing Intensive or do they climb a lot on their own? Are they ready to take their climbing skills to the next level? Do they learn better in an environment with fewer people and more individualized instruction? Are they seeking a longer adventure each day? Then the brand new Avid4 Extreme Adventure workshop series is meant for them (available in kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking).
Take your son or daughter’s climbing skills to the next level with this 1-day program specifically designed for more advanced climbers. In this workshop, kids will spend the first part of their day reviewing safety, knots, equipment, climbing techniques, rappelling, and belaying. Then, they will spend the rest of the day climbing in some of the most amazing crags in Colorado (if not the rest of the country).
IMPORTANT— Extreme Adventure participants should have previous rock climbing experience, either with Avid4 Adventure, a local climbing gym, or otherwise. - Ages: 10-15
- Cost: $125 (climbing shoes are recommended and can be rented from REI)

- Climb a Boulder Flatiron
- Staff that are specialists and certified in rock climbing instruction
- Class size of no more than 6 participants with a staff to participant ratio of no more than 3:1
- Longer day allows for greater opportunities
- Climb in world renowned areas such as Boulder Flatirons and the Estes Park area
- Ascend a multi-pitch climb (Flatiron Climb day) or try a simulated lead climb with top-rope back-up (Estes Park day)
- Learn about climbing safety, traditional gear placement, natural anchors, climbing ethics, crack and face climbing techniques, knots, and hazard identification and evaluation
Due to the advanced nature of these classes, participants must have prior experience rock climbing and have complete confidence repelling and belaying. This daylong climbing workshop is an amazing opportunity— such access and diversity is available in only a few places in the world. Learning the skills and awareness to climb the walls of the Rocky Mountains with an emphasis on safety and skill development is the foundation of our program. We provide all of the technical equipment and transportation as well as our own certified and highly qualified climbing instructors for an entire day of climbing, fun and adventure. Participants must be ready for an entire day of learning advanced techniques.
