Cabins
The Cabins at Camp Eden are separated into a Four plex arrangement close to the Bath House. The Four Plex is divided into four rooms which can house up to 12 campers each for a total of 48 campers. Then, up the hill a little farther there is a series of four cabins in a row, which are able to house about 20 people each. All units are heated, and boys and girls sleep in separate cabins. There is a cabin of extra staff that is located between the boys and girls cabins.
Activity Center
Just up the road and around the corner from the boy's cabins is our Activity Center, which houses a basketball/volleyball court, as well as an upstairs game area. The Mezzanine features foosball, ping-pong, pool tables, air hockey, and even some table games. It is a great place to have a good time or just to sit and enjoy conversation with some old (or new) friends. If you are seeking something fun to do the Willis Activity Center is a great place to find it!

The Pond at the camp provides an ideal spot for working on canoe and kayaking skills. There are also pedal boats that can be used in the afternoons.

Activities
During the week of camp, kids will have an opportunity to try a spectrum of outdoor activities. Our program is about learning and having fun, not about competition or ability. Groups are formed by age and can accommodate a spectrum of experience, from "never-ever" to "proficient". We believe that by introducing kids to a variety of fun outdoor activities at an early age, we can instill a love for play in the outdoors that will last a lifetime. We precede activities with an age appropriate talk about potential risks and how to minimize or avoid them, thus encouraging participants to develop understanding and judgment. All activities take place on or near the camp property. Transportation is provided to the high ropes adventure course & white water rafting using our camp 15 passenger vans and Avid4 Adventure drivers, all of whom are over 21, have completed our defensive driving program, and whose driving record has been checked. Each day kids typically participate in a different outdoor activity (climbing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding & canoeing). Here are a few examples:
- Rock Climbing - Kids will learn about techniques, precautions, equipment and history of the sport. Top-roped climbing will take place at camp utilizing a spectacular crag that provides climbs for every ability level.

- Kayaking & Canoeing - Out flatwater skills instruction program takes place right in camp in the paddle pond, and gives kids a chance to learn about techniques, precautions, equipment and history of the sport. Our teaching progression emphasizes incrementally developing comfort with equipment and the environment in order to facilitate success experiences. PFD's (life jackets) will be worn at all times.

- Mountain Biking -Avid4adventure's fleet of mountain bikes can accommodate any size participant. Our mountain biking program takes place right at camp for the younger campers. For the older campers, we will utilize dirt singletrack in Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks. Riders will not only learn technique, precautions, equipment and history of the sport, but also some basics of bicycle maintenance.
- White Water Rafting- In 2010 we will use Wanderlust Adventures in LaPorte, CO, for our whitewater program. This is a terrific company for your children to create lifelong memories of fun, adventure, thrills and excitement! They will experience a fabulous Cache La Poudre River rafting trip with friends in the incredibly beautiful Poudre River Canyon. Rapids like Pinball, Roller Coaster, Red House Chute and Headless Bridge keep the excitement level high. Surfing the raft, swimming a small rapid, water fighting and learning some local history all add up to a wonderful trip! Wanderlust has one of the best safety records in the industry. Their guides and staff are of the highest standard all helping to achieve their 1st priority--- to give kids a safe quality experience on the river. Their highly trained guides always have your kid's safety as their top priority. Rafting participants are required to provide a signed Wanderlust Release Form, which will be emailed to parents in advance.
- High Ropes Adventure Challenge Course: The Colorado State University Challenge Course exists for the development of human potential through experiential challenges, reflection, and transference of that experience to everyday life. They are committed to providing a safe, inclusive experiential environment. That environment creates opportunities for people to challenge their assumptions about themselves and the roles they play through participation in unfamiliar situations. We encourage the application of the insights into daily life through facilitating reflection of these experiences. Avid4 has utilized this experience for several years with our travel camps, and it has been so great that we wanted the Eden campers to have the experience as well.
- Zip Line- The Zipline extends over 500' from start to finish. From the moment you begin your running take-off the thrills keep coming as you zoom past pine trees, over the lake and then land on the other side.
- Leave No Trace- Learning Leave No Trace outdoor ethics is integrated into all of our activities. Avid4adventure is an Official Partner of Leave No Trace, a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. Leave No Trace builds awareness, appreciation and respect for our wildlands.
On the last day of camp, you will have an opportunity to come watch and participate with your kids during some outdoor activities. This will take place between 12:00-2:00 PM on the last day of camp. This provides a chance for kids to show their parents what they have learned during their week at camp, as well as an opportunity for parents to get a few pointers from their kids as they try the activity. You will receive an email at the beginning of the camp week with further details.
